Jupiter is becoming well known as "the place to live." It's popularity stems from several reasons. Having learned from the mistakes of its neighbors to the south, the town has made concerted efforts to protect the beaches and surrounding areas from massive development. With numerous public spaces and parks, residents and visitors alike can enjoy using the beach, even if they do not live on it. There are also several dog friendly sections that greatly enhance the beach experience for dog owners. Jonathan Dickenson State Park, located to the North of Jupiter, has ultimately stopped urban sprawl and inhibited over development of this area.

Besides the attractive beaches and public spaces, the Jupiter Lighthouse sets the stage for the beauty in this area. Located on the inlet, this stately structure brings a reminder of the rich history and the importance that the water plays in the lives of the residents.

In an attempt to form a center for the residents and visitors to gather, the town has undertaken a project called "Riverwalk" that will link the town via the Intracoastal Waterway. This long term project has recently propelled forward with the town's purchase of several properties that are in the pathway of the project.
